GENERAL FUND
Each year, Lake County Community Foundation receives hundreds of contributions which are undesignated for specific use. These monies are combined into a General Fund and then a portion of the earnings are given out to deserving non-profits in the Lake County area.

ENDOWMENTS
Lake County Community Foundation (LCCF) endowment funds fulfill donors’ intentions. Donors’ gifts are invested “For good. For ever. ” Only the earnings from endowment funds are granted annually, and grants are made only to non-profits whose work aligns with donors’ wishes.
Donors may give unrestricted gifts from which the LCCF Board will make grants for the worthiest causes each year, or donors may create or give to an endowment that meets a specific need donors wish to fulfill. Until July 1, 2008, $5,000 was the minimum gift required to establish a LCCF endowment fund; after that date, the minimum gift will become $10,000 for any type of endowment. Donors may take up to five (5) years to complete an endowment once it has been established, with no earnings awarded from these endowments “in progress” until completion. More Information.
BEQUESTS BY WILL
Last Fall, we had three donors who requested bequest information. Since many of us are now considering a will, we want you to know that including a charitable bequest in your will is a simple way to make a lasting gift that benefits the community forever and becomes your personal legacy of giving.
